What was actually said

“Would be amazing if there was a way to create a free trial period for new subscribers before they are automatically charged.”

Background and pain

The pain

Without a trial there's no low-risk conversion path, so independent writers under-convert.

A buildable angle

The opening

A trial-subscription layer for Ghost and static sites: trial tracking, expiry nudges, save offers.

How to validate it

Read the whole thread and note the recurring scenarios — repetition is the density of the need.
Search existing tools around "membership / trial" and check which single step they actually cover.
Put up a one-line landing page, share it back to Ghost Forum, and see whether anyone asks about pricing.

Existing options

Stripe Trials + 手动配置, Memberful
