“I want to install a closed-source audio player but worry about malware — install it in a containerized environment I can wipe cleanly.”

Windows Sandbox

Windows Sandbox（無持久化）；Sandboxie（老舊、上手門檻）

The smallest footprint virtualization tool I know of of is Sandboxie-Plus . The download is ~24MB, and installed on my PC, it consumes ~75MB. That said, whether installing that audio player or any other software, including Sandboxie-Plus, check at VirusTotal or alternative that uses multiple malware analysis engines.
